Mr.Tope Smart, a graduate and an award winner from the University of Lagos is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.

Mr. Smart, a seasoned Underwriter and Marketer started his Insurance Career with the firm of Everyman Insurance Brokers, Abuja in 1987. The management of the company later discovered the abundance of talent in him and was recommended to head the Abuja Branch of the firm but he left for Nigerian-French Insurance Company Limited in 1989 in order to widen his experience. While there, he served the company in various capacities and rose to the position of Head of Marine Unit before leaving for Perpetual Assurance Company Limited as one of the pioneer management staff in 1991. He was Assistant General Manager (OPERATIONS) of the company before leaving to team up with Vigilant Insurance Company Limited as the General Manager/Chief Executive in 1995 and later became the Managing Director of the company in 1997.

Mr. Smart is currently the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the new NEM Insurance Plc following the successful recapitalization exercise. He has attended many top professional courses in Insurance and Management.

MRS SUSAN ABISOLA GIWA-OSAGIE

Mrs. Giwa-Osagie is a 1983 Law Graduate of the University of Warwick, Conventry, England. Between 1983 and 1984 she was at the Ministry of Justice Lagos for her National Youth Service Corps Programme. She was enrolled as a legal practioner in 1985. She obtained her Masters Degree in Corporate Law (LLM) from the University of Lagos in 1986 and then worked briefly with the Law Firm of Femi Okunnu & Co (SAN) in Lagos.

She started her Insurance career with the Nigerian Insurance Corporation of Nigeria (NICON) in 1987 in the Claims Department. During her stint in NICON, she was at various times in the claims department at the Head  Office and the Zonal Office in Kano.

In 1994 she joined Olympia Insurance Company as the Legal Adviser/Company Secretary and Head of Admin. She resigned from the company in 1996 having attained the position of an Assistant General Manager.

In 1997 she joined African International Bank (AIB) working in the Administration Department with responsibilities for the Banks Assets and Insurance matters nationwide. She resigned in August 2004.

She joined NEM Insurance on 1st November 2004 as Executive Director (Marketing and Corporate Affairs) and later reappointed as Executive Director (Business Development) after the successful recapitalization exercise

MR. ALANI OLOJEDE
HND, ACII, MMP
General Manager (Research & Branch Operations)
Mr. Alani Olojede holds a Masters Degree in Managerial Psychology (MMP) from University of Ibadan.  He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London (ACII) and a Higher National Diploma (HND) holder in Insurance from the Lagos State Polytechnic.

He has well over eighteen (18) years experience in the Insurance Industry.  He has worked severally and in different capacities as an Insurance Man.  His well grounded experience in Life and Pension, Claims and General Business Management was acquired at reputable Insurance Companies which include Guinea Insurance Plc, Trans Nigeria Assurance Company Limited and Financial Assurance Company Limited.

He also had a distinguished career at Femi Johnson & Company (Insurance Brokers) before joining Henry Philipson Insurance Brokers Unlimited as Deputy General Manager and Head of Operations.

He joined Vigilant Insurance Company Limited as Controller (Research and Business Development) and was promoted to the position of General Manager (Research & Business Development).  Mr. Olojede is currently the General Manager (Operations) of NEM Insurance Plc.
He has attended many Insurance, Marketing and Management courses.

MR. ADEBISI T. ADEWALE
ACII, AIIN
General Manager (Marketing)
Mr. Adewale started his Insurance Career with the firm of Hogg Robinson Nigeria in 1987.  While there, he served the Company in various capacities and rose to the position of a Manager before he left in 1995 to join Newline Insurance Company Limited as Controller (Marketing/Business Development).

An Associate member of both the Institute of London and Nigeria, Mr. Adewale is a goal getter and had used his verse knowledge and experience to launch Newline Insurance Company Limited into the already competitive Insurance Market.

With a desire to assume greater challenges, he left Newline Insurance Company Limited in 1997 to join the team of Vigilant Insurance Company Limited as Assistant General Manager (Marketing and Business Development).

He is currently the General Manager (Marketing) of NEM Insurance Plc.  He has attended several insurance, marketing and management seminars.
